The Alfa Romeo P2 won the first automobile World Championship in 1925, took the victory in two he went four Championship rounds when Antonio Ascari in the European Grand Prix in Spa and Prix Italy in Monza, won the Grand Gastone Brilli peri after Ascari died while leading the intervening race at the Montlhéry.
