830hp G-Power Hurricane RRs – supercharged BMW M5 V10
Celebrating the sale of 100 G-Power Hurricane models, the company built this jubilee model with an additional 30hp, taking the new G-Power M5 Hurricane RRs to 830hp.
The light blue car was equipped with a reworked version of the V10 engine, modified by G-Power and supercharged with its Bi-Kompressor system using two ASA T1-316 blowers. Both are belt-driven and chargecooled using a cast aluminium heat exchanger that replaces the standard air box on top of the engine.
The V10, four-valve engine receives balanced, low compression Mahle forged pistons and uprated connecting rods. Alpha-N engine management is also added, eliminating the mass air sensors. The result is 830hp between 7500 and 8000rpm as well as 575 lb-ft at 6500rpm.
A G-Power Speedflow exhaust system with two racing cat and stainless steel rear muffler is fitted. The capacity of the fuel supply system is also upgraded with larger injectors and an additional fuel pump. A G-Power controller enables the third pump to be boost operated.
The G-Power Hurricane RRs is claimed to accelerate to 62mph in 4.3sec, 125mph in 9.1sec and will reach 186mph from a standstill in 25.2sec.
To copes with two tons of weight and a 230mph top speed, G-Power fits Michelin Pilot Sport tires on its own wheels. They fit 255/35 ZR19 at the front and 305/30 ZR19 rear on 19" wheels, but when 20s are specified, the tire sizes are 255/35 ZR20 and 285/30 ZR20 respectively.
G-Power also fits ist own braking system, with the option of six-piston calipers and ceramic rotors, while adjustable coilovers are another essential item.
