Marques Monaco 2012 Concept

With the ninth edition of Top Marques Monaco, Monte Carlo exhibition of supercars, we have the opportunity to see again shows the Rimac Cars Concept One signed. Through collaboration with the Dutch company Vredestein and Indian, the first electric sports tires Hypercar Ultract Vorti, originally designed by Italian manufacturer Giugiaro and subsequently developed by Vredestein.
The Ultract Vorti have been created to support and improve the performance of supercars more powerful and technologically advanced. Able to withstand speeds of 300 kilometers per hour, these tires are the best ever in terms of grip and braking on wet or dry surfaces. Tires so sophisticated are ideal for the Concept One, whose electric propulsion system "All Wheel Torque Vectoring" provides four electric motors which act independently on each wheel, for a total of 800 kilowatts. With a total power of 1,088 hp and 3800 Nm of torque, the Concept One reaches 100 kph in 2.8 seconds. The maximum speed of 305 kilometers per hour is ensured by an electronic control system that prevents accelerate beyond the permitted limit. Due to the structure of carbon fiber and lightweight materials, the Concept One weighs just 1650 pounds and maintain a slim and attractive form despite its four engines. A fully charged ba ttery allows you to travel at least 600 km, outstanding figure for an electric car. In the past, hybrid cars such as Insight , Touareg, Prius or Accord were preferable to electric models just because of the poor viability of the latter, but the technology of the Concept One could give new impetus to the development of electric vehicles at long range even in field of family cars. Surely this is a car that leaves you dry in the middle of the highway! The choice of Rimac Cars to focus on electric technology for its Hypercar is hardly a surprise, since the Croatian company specializes in components for electric cars, but the trend of the automotive industry to invest in sustainable models. The Concept One is still a car limited edition, with the production of eighty-eight models in 2013. Meanwhile, participants in the Top Marques Monaco will enjoy the prototype live - and who knows, maybe they will even take a test ride on the circuit!
